marian {newborn}
Oh my goodness how cute is sweet little Marian!? At just 11 days old, she was wide awake for about half the time, taking in everything around her and wondering what in the world we were doing with her. None-the-less, she was still quite content and gave us some of the cutest facial expressions. Surrounded by her mom, grandma and dad, Marian did a wonderful job at her first shoot! I absolutely love getting generational photos as I think it will be so special to look back on down the road, and I can tell that her mom and dad are going to be some amazing parents already! Congrats to this fam and their new little bundle!
sloane {newborn} omaha, ne
Almost five years ago, I captured Leila’s newborn photos. Now, she is a natural big sister to sweet little Sloane Marie. Such a precious pair they are, and I just melted over the shots of them together. Sloane did so well during her shoot just snoozing away ~ I could have snuggled her the rest of the day. 🙂 She also decided to give us some adorable smiles, and I’m so glad that I had my camera ready to capture those sweet moments. I’ve said this before, but our friends sure make cute babies! Here’s a peek at Sloane’s first shoot!
elizabeth {newborn}
Meet Elizabeth. Born just before Thanksgiving ~ and what a sweetheart she is! She did amazing during her shoot, and even gave us a bunch of smiles! I mean, they really looked like genuine smiles — even while awake! It was adorable. Since her daddy is a part of CrossFit, it was only fitting to end our shoot with some props that they provided. I can tell that her parents adore her, and visa versa as she cuddled up in their arms. Here’s a peek at a beautiful family of three!
kate {newborn}
Seems like just yesterday that I shot Jenny and Paul’s engagement photos and wedding, and now recently, I had the pleasure of photographing their first little bundle, Katherine Rose. I could have just snuggled her all day, she was so precious. And look at all of that hair! She is such a sweet mix between her mom and dad. So happy for Jenny & Paul as they start off their journey of parenthood — I can already tell that they are naturals. 🙂

Just last week, I got to meet one of my friend’s sister’s newest little ones — Paxton. Such a sweet boy who is the little brother to a super sweet girl, Kaylynn. I love doing sibling shots, and this duo was just too stinkin’ cute! I also love trying new things, and was SO excited when they came to me with a shot in mind — one that I’ve been wanting to do for a long time! Just needed the gear to do it — the cute “nerd” glasses with books. 😉 Love it. Although Paxton was in and out of sleep mode and broke out of a swaddle like no other baby I’ve seen ;), we managed to get that awesome shot along with some other adorableness. Congrats to this precious family!! Here’s a peek at Paxton’s first shoot.
gus {newborn}
I loved seeing my friend, Bri, and her family this last weekend as they recently welcomed a new addition! August (Gus) was born on March 11 and is just the sweetest little guy with SO much hair! He is so loved already — not only does he have super sweet parents, but he’s also got a big brother, Ollie, watching out for him. Plus, his grandma was visiting all the way from Oregon! It is always so precious to get those multi-generation photos. 🙂 Even though Gus was going on almost 2.5 weeks, he still got his snooze on and was super relaxed even with his eyes open. I absolutely loved the little baby smiles we got every once and awhile, even though we knew what was to follow most of the time….. 😉 Here’s a peek at little Gus’ first photo shoot!
brooklyn grace {newborn}
On Christmas day, we arrived at my in-law’s house with the first news of, “they’re in the hospital — they’re gonna have their baby today!” My husband’s brother and his wife were not due for another few weeks, so my first response was “YAY!” and “awww!”…..as I really wanted them to spend Christmas with us! 😉 I got past that quickly when realizing that they were having THEIR baby on CHRISTMAS day! Seriously the best gift ever. They waited many years for their little miracle and I am so happy for them. Brooklyn could not be any more precious. My daughter already talks about how she loves her baby cousin, and that someday she will be big and can play with her! I look forward to gatherings with the growing Bockelman family. 🙂
Here’s a peek at Brookyn’s first shoot! She did very well, and I can tell that she absolutely loves snuggling.

Oh how I love squishy babies that mold into you as they cuddle and drift off into dreamland. Our friends, Jillian and Mark, had the sweetest little boy just over a week ago. Not only did I get loads of cuddle time in when we first met him at their house, but also got a few shot with his big brother (their dog Riggs) as he wanted to introduce him. 😉 His eyes were wide open during that time, taking in everything around him. We had a session 4 days later and thankfully, he was in a sleepy mode for the most part. I enjoyed doing something a little different with incorporating some of Jillian’s army gear — I am proud of her for her service, and know that her little man will be too someday. We also included a few of Jillian and Mark’s stuffed animals from when they were babies. Mark’s was a hand-made monkey (they are still popular today I see!) and Jillian, a cute little puppy (I think 😉 ) — all which are placed on top of a quilt that Jillian’s mom made. I love little things such as these which make the shoot all the more meaningful. Apparently, little MJ has the Kinzer (Jillian’s side) crease in between the nose. And, so much hair! He cracked me up as we were doing one of the last poses on the blue blanket. His entire face just melted, skin sometimes covering his eyes… it was adorable! I am still chuckling just thinking about it. Here’s a peek at some adorableness!
monica {newborn}
Loved, loved the session I had with a sweet mamma and her two beauties last week. Jill is one of those people that you immediately feel comfortable with — I enjoyed a fun session as well as good conversation. Her oldest was such a good listener and seemed to really enjoy having her photo taken. She especially enjoyed cuddling up next to her new little sister who was such a doll and just over two weeks old. You might mistake her for being a little older with all of that hair though! Love it. Here’s a peek at baby Monica’s first photo shoot. 🙂
boston {newborn}
If ever a baby slept beyond soundly, it was during almost the entirety of this shoot. Sweet little Boston was almost 3 weeks old when he arrived for his first shoot, so, I was a little worried that he might not get his snooze on. I was quite impressed though, as after our initial eyes open shots, he pretty much slept the whole time with barely any fuss. And speaking of eyes, look at those amazing blue eyes!!! — parents included. Upon meeting his mom and dad, I already felt like I knew them. Such a sweet family and fun to work with. 🙂 So happy that I will be doing Boston’s first year photos! Here’s a peek at some adorableness.
alex {newborn}
On June 28, my friend, Lindsay, had her second little boy, Alex — and oooohh my, is he adorable! It has been awhile since I’ve seen a newborn with SO much hair!! It is so cute, and he actually looks older than just a few weeks. He was totally rocking the messy look, and both boys looked so precious together. Max is so excited to be an older brother, and, we managed to get a few super cute ones with him giving lots of snuggles and kisses to Alex before he went off to snuggle and play with one of his besties — my daughter. 😉 Alex was an amazing sleeper and slept through almost the entire shoot! I was so happy to be able to capture the newest sweet little addition to the Coulter family. 🙂
libby {newborn}
Meet Elizabeth “Libby” who was just 5 days old at our shoot! Libby’s mother is sister’s with some of our good friends, so I was so happy to see that she was expecting, and even happier when she asked me to photograph Libby’s first year! Libby is a little sweetheart who loves being in the arms of her parents. Although I loved seeing her with her eyes open (she has a beautiful deep blue tint to them), when we wanted her to drift off into dreamland, we had our various ways of getting her there, including mama feeding her and daddy marching, yes marching (and humming), with her. It worked well! And once she was there, I almost didn’t want to move her as she looked so peaceful. 🙂 Here’s a peek at some sweet moments of the day!
grant {newborn}
It was not that long ago that I captured the Carlson family just before they were expecting their second baby. They met their 2nd son on April 25, and I was able to capture him at just 10 days old. He is absolutely precious, and a great little model! Sleeping almost the whole time, he could not have been anymore relaxed. Dane is one happy big brother, and Arica and Ryan seem like naturals with the two of them already. Be sure to check out the adorable Hershey bar announcement that Arica’s sister designed and brought back to life from when they were newborns. Very clever. 🙂
Meet Grant Thomas!
