So happy to have been able to capture some beautiful moments together of this sweet family. These fellow neighbors, and now friends, are so full of life, you can’t help but smile when you’re with them. Faith is so fortunate to look up to Lora as her mom — as she is taking the diagnosis of breast cancer for the second time with such grace. There is so much hope that she can beat it again, and Lora is lucky to be surrounded by a strong team of friends and family, and most of all faith. I am reminded once again to live life to the fullest and cherish those you love!
I can do all things through Christ who strengthens me. — Philippians 4:13
cora mabel {newborn}
Sweet, sweet Cora came into the world on July 29, and was welcomed by her loving parents and adorable little brother. It feels like just yesterday that I captured Jonah’s newborn photos, and now he looks like a giant next to his little sis. 😉 I absolutely love the shots of him reading to her — such a good big brother already! Cora definitely likes to be snuggled, but does NOT like to be swaddled. She was like a little Houdini trying (and mostly succeeding) every time I wrapped her. Here’s a peek at her adorableness.
abigail {7 months}
So glad my clients picked out a new park I’ve never shot in — the lighting and everything about it was just beautiful! And Abigail is such a cutie — just all smiles when I first met her! Luckily, that smile stayed around for most of the shoot, though she got a little hot and tired towards the end. Her outfits were absolutely adorable– I can tell her mama already has too much fun with all the adorable headbands and outfit options for little girls. 🙂 Here’s a peek at her little shoot in the park!
rydlee {6 months}
Sweet little Rydlee just keeps growing, growing, growing! Though she wasn’t the biggest fan of this shoot, she still gave us some adorable shots with those beautiful blue eyes. And of course got lots of snuggles with her family. Here’s a peek at Rydlee’s 6 months!
emily {newborn}
It was such a pleasure taking Emily’s first photos, as she is such a cutie — check out all that adorable hair! Having just met her parents for the first time, it felt like I’d known them a while — they are are so sweet — and I can tell already that they’re naturals. Emily was pretty curious throughout the shoot and usually kept one eye open observing everything. I really like a mix of eyes open shots, so it all worked out. 😉 Here’s a peek at Emily’s newborn photos!
jody + kenny {& family}
A recently engaged couple and four adorable kiddos made for a fun shoot last week at Zorinsky. I can tell that Jody and Kenny absolutely adore one another, and I’m so happy for them as they plan their future together along with their little ones. Though it took a little bit of bribery (PIZZA afterwards!), I hope the kids had a little fun exploring, spending time together as a fam, and almost getting hit by ducks! Yes… they were a little close. 😉 Here’s a peek!
gist {family} // omaha family photographer
Sweet little William is turning one soon, and what a cutie he is!! It’s a hard age to get smiles all the time, but when you throw in airplanes, tickles, peek-a-boo and a favorite stuffed animal, it all works out. 😉 His parents are the sweetest, and I can tell that he is SO loved. Here’s a peek at our little adventure in the park!
blake {1 year}
It’s always crazy to see how quickly kids change when they’re little. Last time I saw Blake, she was hardly crawling, now, she’s running around everywhere! She’s a cute little blue-eyed blondie who seems like a very chill girl and just turned ONE at the end of May. It’s been such a joy capturing her throughout her first year, just as I did her little brother. It’s also been fun having this adorable family in our neighborhood and having our kiddos getting together to play! Besides getting eaten alive by mosquitoes, I absolutely cannot get enough of shooting in our glorious park! 😉
norris {family}
I love meeting new families, especially when they are as sweet as this trio. It was a pleasure to take their family photos and see how happy their adorable little lady was pretty much the whole time! Her smile is absolutely contagious — and it probably helped that she had her grandma and grandpa in the background making her giggle. 😉 I can tell that Sarah and Nate are natural and loving parents ~ she is lucky to have them! She is their rainbow baby, and this shoot was perfect timing as this is the day after tornadoes swept through Omaha and left a rainbow at the end. A good reminder, that even through the storms, there is always hope.
arian {newborn}
Little Arian was pretty much wide awake and bright-eyed during our shoot, until we finally stepped outside in the heat and BAM, off to dreamland, and we could squish her into whatever position. Why didn’t we start out there sooner!? We were hoping if even big sister pretended she was sleeping, she’d get the hint, but nope. 😉 She was such a sweetie with the most beautiful long lashes! Surrounded by so much love, lots of snuggles were had all around. Here’s a peek at Arian’s first session!
coulter {family}
So many times, I notice wall art as I drive by buildings, but, when my friend, Lindsay, mentioned she wanted to do a session with that as the background, it wasn’t until then that I looked at it a little differently and noticed how much life and color it brings to an otherwise bland building. I scoped out a car one as the boys are truly boys and LOVE their car toys. And Linz insisted on the smiley face. Such a simple icon, but good reminder to try and incorporate a little happy into your, or other people’s, everyday. 🙂 🙂
Here’s a peek at their fun little session!
extended {family}
Back in 2012, I had a contest for a free photo session, in which, I took photos of a family of 3. Now, that family added another kiddo, and, we did an extended family shoot — in the same location we did our original shoot! So fun seeing familiar faces. 🙂 I had a great time hanging out and capturing this beautiful family! Sometimes it takes awhile for the littles the warm up to the camera, so, it’s best to just let them be kids (or bring out all the tricks — peek-a-boo, tickle monster, etc). And of course, by the very end, a jumping shot brought out all the smiles. 😉 Here’s a peek!
cecilia {newborn}
“Oh Cecilia, you’re breaking my heart…” That is the song I keep breaking into whenever I hear or write this sweet baby’s name. Cecilia Jean was born April 14 and is such a cutie pie! I mean, look at all that hair!! Her big sis didn’t want much to do with snuggling her quite yet, but, I’m sure they will be best friends in no time. Cecilia slept almost the whole time, with the exception of taking a peek at what was going on once and awhile. She is an absolute doll. Congrats to Jenny and Paul on becoming a family of four!
brinley rose {newborn}
Brinley Rose, the newest member of our family (my niece) came into the world on April 9 and is absolutely gorgeous, just like her mom and dad. She did amazing during her shoot, letting us change her into various cute outfits, including a few bunnies — which was only fitting since the shoot was on Easter day. 😉 Although it was known that she would have a small cleft lip, they were not sure on the extent of it, nor if it affected her palette. Her palette was 100% intact, and, the cleft lip is so minor ~ I actually think it’s quite adorable…like a little dimple. She exemplifies imperfect perfection and is so, so loved.
I am hoping that these are photos she can always look back on to see how her beautiful smile first started. 🙂
asher {newborn}
Oh my goodness Asher is beyond adorable. At just 10 days old, he was the most perfect little model during our shoot, giving us plenty of dreamy, snoozin’ shots, as well as sneaking in lots of little smiles. He just looked so peaceful, content and happy. It also helps to have an adorable big sister who gives lots of snuggles and is so gentle around him. I have thoroughly enjoyed capturing this sweet family since Libby was a newborn, and am anticipating capturing this cute boy throughout his first year as well. Here’s a peek at Asher’s first session!
caitlyn {1 year} // omaha family photographer
Happy 1st birthday, beautiful Caitlyn!
It really feels like just yesterday that I captured Caitlyn as a newborn. This year has flown by! Which, is only natural as I’ve had 3 kiddos keeping me preoccupied. 😉 Caitlyn is a sweetheart with a lot of energy — just like her big sisters. The three girls together are so cute, even if Caitlyn would prefer to be miss independent at the moment. As always, around this age, they would rather be exploring the world around them than sit still…so, I’ve gotten pretty good at following them around with my camera. 😉 Here’s a peek at her first year photos!
nicholas {newborn}
Feels like just yesterday that we captured Laura’s bump photos, and now, Nicholas James has arrived! Born on February 20, 2017, Mr Nicholas is as cute as can be — soo squishable!! Big brother, Andrew, seems pretty proud and I see a lot of resemblance in the two. So happy for the Hansen’s and their growing family! Here’s a peek at their session in their beautiful home!
madalyn {newborn}
Most recently, we welcomed the newest little member into the Bockelman family, my niece, Madalyn Rae. It’s amazing how much she looks like her big sis! I had a bit of deja vu while editing the photos. 😉 I can tell Brooklyn already loves her little sister so much. It will be cute to watch them grow up together and have her join the madness of the cousin gatherings! Here’s a peek at little miss Madalyn who was the most precious little model.
rydlee {newborn}
So happy for the Kamin’s who welcomed their precious little girl, Rydlee, into the world on January 15! Ryker, whom I’ve shot since he was born, is such a proud big brother, and thoroughly enjoyed giving her lots of snuggles. Rydlee was an excellent little model who slept most of the shoot and just looked so peaceful the entire time. So much love for this sweet little lady already. Here’s a peek at some cuteness!
erica {newborn}
…and plus one = FIVE! So happy for our friend’s growing family! Sweet little Erica Christine was welcomed at the start of the new year on January 3, 2017! Such a cutie who loves snuggling and looks so similar to her big sis when she was born. I can tell already that Mallorie and Chad are going to be wonderful big siblings. Excited for their new journey and for our fun, chaotic playdates in the future! 😉
marian {1 year}
It feels like just yesterday that I first captured the adorable Marian Rose, and already she’s ONE year old! Where does the time go!? She is such a sweet girl who enjoyed showing me the things she loves doing in her home — such as reading, snacking, practicing walking, and of course, hanging out with mom and dad. I forget how much I enjoy doing more lifestyle shoots until I start capturing little moments in a family’s home. It is fun finding new spaces, backgrounds and utilizing the natural lighting, all while showing the love they share for one another.
Happy Birthday to beautiful Marian! I have so enjoyed capturing you in your first year!
christen {family}
It’s always fun meeting new families! I enjoyed taking the Christen family photos most recently. Their girls have so much fun being in front of the lense, it was cute to watch. I can tell that they truly love being sisters. So glad that the November weather held out for us as we were able to capture a few outside! Here’s a peek at our time together. 🙂
friehe {family}
I always love seeing the Friehe family! Owen becomes more and more handsome every time I see him, and those big blue eyes never cease to amaze me. He loved incorporating a little bit of Christmas into their gorgeous Fall session. Beautiful smiles and some warm snuggles made for another fun shoot ~ here’s a peek!
kamin {family}
I’ve been photographing the adorable Mr Ryker since he was newborn, and it’s been so fun to see him change over the years. Now, he’s going to be a big brother, and I’m sure a good one at that! Robin looks amazing, and I can tell that they are all so excited as they anticipate the arrival of their little girl. Here’s a peek at their last shoot as a family of three!
