rowley {maternity}
Jenn and Pat are some of the first friends I hung out with since moving to Omaha, and it has been so fun watching them grow as a family over the years! Elisa is going to be a big sister — to… either a boy or a girl! They have not found out the gender yet, and I give them so much credit for hanging on! I am way too impatient to not find out. 😉 Jenn looks adorable as ever and is ALL baby. For now, I predict it is a boy. Congrats to them as they anticipate become a family of 4!
nicholas // 1 year + family photos
Nicholas is looking more and more like his big brother with those big blue eyes and blonde hair. Two little studs and so sweet! We had fun exploring the park, though I found out one of my favorite 100+ year old trees was cut down! It made for a nice backdrop, but it’s still so sad to see such a large tree like that go. Nicholas even got a little taste of a cupcake to celebrate his big day. Happy 1 year big guy!
asher {1 year}
I feel like I have been surrounded by one year olds lately! All my clients babies all of a sudden are no longer BABIES! They now have little personalities, more hair, some are walking and even talking! Oh how so much changes in just a year. Asher is the sweetest, most squishable little boy, and if ever two kids looked alike, it is he and his big sister. I always enjoy spending time and catching up with the Poppen family! Here’s a peek at Asher’s one year!
ryker {4 years}
And just like that, Ryker is four! We celebrated by capturing some sweet moments with his parents, sister and grandparents, and even got a little fresh air in this crazy, unpredictable Nebraskan weather. 😉 Here’s a peek at handsome mister Rykeroo!
henry // newborn
Wide awake and oh-so-concerned looking is how little Mr Henry spent his time during our shoot. He is so cute and a wonderful addition to this now family of four. His big brother was such a good listener and so patient with him. I can tell they are going to have a lot of fun growing up together! Here’s a peek at some of his adorableness.
rydlee 1 year
And just like that, Rydlee is one! She is walking, babbling and ready to take on another year! She is finally getting to the age where she can really start playing with her big brother — and they are so sweet together! Here’s a peek at her adorableness and cake smash!
caleb // 1 year
Most recently, I met a little man named, Caleb, who is celebrating his first birthday! He was a delight to have in the studio, and, it was fun to watch him smash (or rather devour the frosting from) his cake. Soon enough, he’s going to be stealing all the ladies’ hearts with those baby blues! Here’s a peek at his session. 🙂
abigail // 1 year
Though sweet little Abigail doesn’t yet understand the concept of turning one, she can someday look back at these sweet photos we captured to celebrate HER, because, well, turning one is kind of a big deal — for both her and her parents! 😉 She looked so cute in her holiday attire, and then, during her cake smash. Here’s a peek at beautiful miss Abigail’s one year photos!
alivia // 1 year
I loved taking photos of sweet Alivia and her family over the summer, so was happy to also take her one year photos! She is still such a doll and could most definitely be a little Gerber baby model. She is probably one of the most dainty babies I’ve seen when it comes to a cake smash ~ just nibbled off a little corner and was satisfied. 😉 Here’s a peek at her first year photos! You will most certainly want to squish her up she is so sweet!
hudson {newborn}
We have certainly been blessed when it comes to some awesome neighbors — the Rosenblad’s being one of them. They reminded me of my husband and I when they first moved in – just a young couple, no kiddos, no pets and in a house that had a few more rooms than they needed at the time. 😉 It has been so fun watching them fill those rooms and become such natural parents. It has also been cute that our kids are starting to play together more, baby Hudson doesn’t know the fun he’s in for with our little ‘hood gatherings! 😉 He is a precious, perfect little boy, and so loved by his family — including his big brother, Jace. They grow so fast, I’m so glad I was able to capture Hudson’s first photos! Here’s a peek.
hagin {family}
It was a pleasure capturing the lovely Hagin family most recently at Lake Zorinsky. Their adorable blue-eyed little man was not quite sure about the camera right away, but, leave it to peek-a-boo, tickles and, may I say, “toot” noises, and he is all for that! 😉 I think he also discovered that skipping rocks is a new found hobby. Thankful to have captured this family before Chris leaves again for duty. So thankful for his service! Here’s a peek at our fun family session ending with a most gorgeous sunset!
hansen {family}
I recently captured the Hansen family, and they are cute as always! We did not have to go far from their home, as their backyard had an abundance of leaves to work with! When it got too chilly, we moved inside, and I’m glad we got a shot of sweet Nicholas on the same chair we had him on as a newborn. Always fun to compare! We finished the night with a few shots of the beautiful sunset in the circle just in front. It is the same circle that my husband grew up in (and parent-in-laws live in today), so the tree shown has been there for decades. Thankfully, Laura and others have worked hard to preserve it since tree diseases have swept through Omaha. Here’s a peek at their adorableness!
mcleay {family} // omaha family photographer
I was so happy to capture Nikki and her beautiful family most recently, after many, many times of postponing for various reasons of life happenings, it finally worked out, and we had a beautiful fall day for it. The timing of it, though, happened to be just after the passing of her dear brother. A loss that I can only imagine as being one of the hardest things she’s had to face. Even with that happening, I am so thankful she was still wanting to go through with a shoot, because, as she said, now more than ever, it’s soo important to capture these moments with your family, as, you just never know…
They are one of the most photogenic families, and you can just feel the love that they have for one another. We took the photos at Memorial Park, which is most fitting to honor her brother. Though I never met him, if he’s anything like Nikki, I know he was just as sweet, and so, so proud of this family that she has built.
Nikki said something that stood out to me. Since losing her brother is still so raw, she is trying to do “normal things,” but constantly has him on the mind. I wanted to try and create an image that spoke to that, so the very last shot was of Nikki frozen in the shot, and everyone else moving around her. In due time, I know that “normal” will soon get easier, and it is always okay to miss those we’ve lost, while still living and enjoying the life we have here on earth. So many prayers still for their entire family!
morgan {family}
I’ve been capturing the Morgan family for a few years now, and I don’t know why it always surprises me when the kids keep getting taller. I mean, kiddos DO grow! Though I think we want to secretly keep them little forever. 😉 Both were as photogenic as ever, and still enjoy some snuggles from their parents. It was a gorgeous day in Elmwood park, with even a little bit of color left! Here’s a peek at their fall family shoot.
rydlee {9 months} // omaha child photographer
How lucky am I that this is the 4th time I’ve captured sweet Rydlee, and she’s not even one!! 😉 I love that her parents see the importance of capturing each milestone over the year, as they change SO much. She is a little cutie who lets her big brother give her all kinds of squishy hugs. Here’s a peek at her 9 month session!
treiber {family} // omaha family photographer
It has been so much fun photographing this sweet family over the last 7 years! Even though the kiddos keep growing and getting taller, Amanda and Owen haven’t changed a bit! All adorable. Could not have asked for better weather for our time in the park! Here’s a peek. 🙂
cordle {family} // omaha family photographer
Last week, I met a beautiful family of 6! Having that many people in the group, it’s sometimes hard to get them all to look (and listen), but, since the kiddos were older, it was seriously a breeze! They were all SO well-behaved and the littlest absolutely lit up when I started clicking my shutter. He thought it was the most hilarious thing in the world, and it got my cracking up behind the lense too! Thank goodness that worked, because, I forgot my squeaky toy. 😉 I enjoyed getting to know this sweet family. Here’s a peek at their fall session!
edie {3 years}
Vala’s to a kid is basically like being in a candy store — such excitement is seen in the eyes of all those that venture through it. Sweet little Edie just turned 3, so what better way to celebrate than going to one of her favorite places? It was fun finding little corners and fun backgrounds to capture this little beauty with her fam!
fall {extended} family
It does not feel like that long ago that I took Caitlin and Adam’s engagement and wedding photos (though, it was 4 years!) They recently had two adorable b/g twin babies — and oh my are they precious!! We captured some of their cuties along with their whole extended family. So glad the rain held out again so that we could capture some great moments of them all together. Here’s a peek!
tapprich {family} // omaha family photographer
What are the chances that you’d get rained out (almost) twice for family photos!? Though mother nature did not play in our favor last time, this time, the rain stopped enough for us to keep our session. It was just a bit soggy, humid and buggy, but, we still managed to have some fun! 😉 This family could not be any sweeter! So glad we met at swimming lessons so I could have a chance to capture their love!
petersen {family}
For this session, I loved going back to the same park location that I took our friend’s engagement photos at in 2012. This time around though, they had their adorable little addition to the family, MJ. They were surrounded by beautiful lighting and colors, and though it is still hot out, we will just pretend that it was fall-like weather with our cozy clothing. 😉 I adore this little family and the smiles I got from Mr MJ after placing a stuffed animal on my head … over and over….. and over again!
ramey {family}
Though this HOT (in the 90’s) weather lately isn’t feeling very fall-like, I’m loving the family shoots still dressed in cozy warm sweaters — very fall ready. 😉 C’mon cooler weather! These two little ladies definitely kept me on my toes in getting some shots, as they have soo much energy and just wanted to run! We got a few sweet snuggles though, and in the end, the got to do what they love, play at the playground! Here’s a peek at their fun, family shoot!
asher {6 months}
Oh Asher, you are as cute as a button, just like your big sis!
6 months and quite the little personality already, this little man didn’t give me all the smiles, but, was definitely curious about the camera. Those big eyes just captivate you! He is such a chill, little dude who doesn’t seem to mind his big sis giving him lots of smooches, hugs and cuddles. It’s always fun watching siblings interact.
Here’s a session full of lots of cuteness and love!
joey {1 year} // omaha child photography
It was a pleasure meeting up with the Johnson family last week and capturing their sweet little boy who is about to turn ONE! He is such a cutie, with blonde hair and blue eyes (a heart-breaker one day I presume) 😉 Though a little intimidated by the camera at first, he warmed up eventually, and I would have never believed his parents that he smiled when someone fake coughed, until I tried it towards the end. What a cute reaction I got! Here’s a peek at Joey’s first birthday photos filled with balloons, cute hats, his side-kicks (bear and puppy friends) and most of all, love. 🙂
